The Train 04:30
Apple Valley is a suburb of Saint Paul the land is flat and the wether is predictable theres a spot to smoke up on River Valley Churchs roof if you care to watch the storms over County Road 42 He’s well versed in the way he aught to be from a distance you’d think that he agreed he got a car and a job when he turned 16 quit the job and drove down 42 to think We all get lost from time to time even with that painted dotted line you double back, retrace your tracks and things look different from before -that’s where those ancient train tracks are He’s mulling over his discrepancies pedal down to his beginnings lost the time and lost who he should be had a smile as they drained out like an oil leak (Todd Dies finds where CR42 ends accompanied with a train station. He is forced to abandon his car and board a train which he’s told will lead him home.)
2.
Track 2 04:02
Cobwebbed ancient train tracks slum stations, over priced tickets it’s a long way home smiles wrinkling, waiting towers erect over stations persuading most to settle down We’re held by the desires, which cling, but we long for gold buttons, blue uniforms to pay that debt off while days pass like the rain drops that seep through the ground “We hear that whistle blowing calls us to keep on going taking us deeper than our wants we set off for a vacation now we’re broke at the station and we’re in deeper than we thought cars packed with people all half alive half their teeth are missing every penny took for the next track by men in nests growing fat but I’ve been called I’ve been letting it all now I’m getting on Can I be a light? can I be alive? Promised I’d arrive by a voice gently spoken warned bout the hauntings and tauntings sure to come “keep on the train track to arrive at home”
3.
Track 3 03:18
“Make the necessary changes when you’re on your own make the necessary changes make the necessary changes, boy you’re on your own make the necessary changes for yourself But you’re not alone you’re not alone your struggle is timeless it’s felt by the masses so Make the necessary changes when you’re on your own make your necessary changes for no one else Make the necessary changes when you’re on your own Make the necessary changes for yourself Now you can and now you must You’re not pretending No reason for pretending You’re not pretending while you’re on your own Trust that you’re not pretending your prayers on pretend you’re not pretending while you’re on your own - it’s not all in your head” can you? will you? It’s not all in your head
4.
Track 4 03:06
Tracked by the spirits of misfortune I’m haunted by each bad decision pulls me deeper in to ‘self’ all the needs I can’t get a leg up on Start aiming my thoughts, shoot through the clouds just one lucky shot might melt these sounds If the sunset streets are foggy grey, that’s not up to me You’re the lamp to my feet But what does one do when the books not like you do you hold on to truth, or do you hold onto your self? wring my flesh or spin me gold, that’s not up to me just don’t leave me be You’re the solid rock that I stand my reality is quick sand this mirror is dimly lit so my Fathers word I’ll trust over it Creator made my eyes to see my heart to touch my blood to bleed He knows how to work this earth lets agree not to take it personal when life isn’t what we want lets agree to die to self when faith doesn’t rise the dead lets consider what our faith’s in You’re the solid rock that I stand It’s not in where I get my bread this mirror is dimly lit so my Fathers word I’ll trust over it
5.
Track 5 05:35
You thank God that you’ve been saved but why don’t you show it? according to Romans 8:13 sin is killing it and you’re wallowing but the Lamb that has been slain does cover every plain yeah the kingdom of God has spoken You thank God His blood is pure well it’s not like you know it if you were clothed in Redemption blood you wouldn’t even mention it But the time is done away I am now who I will be cause the Kingdom of God is eternal I am the man I aughta be clothed in redemption eternally // free I’m not bound Little Samuel raise your head the lamp of God has not gone out He’d raise the hairs on Israels neck if you would say, ‘Lord speak, here I am.’ You have no authority It’s taken back // He takes me back by the blood
6.
Track 6 02:59
Sing me the softest melody one to forget my self and sing lai lai lai lai lai Capture my mind from this earth with your right hand pleasures lai lai lai lai lai Your power is infinite and I am your affection help me to get a grip on the trust of your provision He knows all our wants! Your desire is the good of this world you are infinitely powerful Adjust my eyes and heart to see true love not according to me I will suffer long I will suffer long
7.
Track 7 04:54
How far must I go to feel you in my skin and bones the way I know you in my head with all those truths that don’t seem to fit I wanna be righteous like that righteous man but who am I fooling? it was never in my hands You’re as with me as the air I’m breathing in but tell me the truth with my senses and not just my head Jesus Christ son of God became sin upon that cross severed ties with our Father the psalm you uttered was far graver I’m not righteous like that righteous man who am I fooling? is it just in my head? but if I crossed into that other land, through faith not through working I’d be as with you as I am Bone-of-my-bone, Flesh-of-my-flesh You are my robes of righteousness I choose to cling to the reality Your spirit is inside of me Bone-of-my-bone Cournerstone I am Yours and You are mine Jesus Christ One, glorified You are mine and I am Yours Your promises are always cause you are What-you-say You say a lot of Words to me I trust every Word you say
8.
Track 8 04:43
Give me beauty from the other side where there’s too much, it goes around where there’s too much, it goes around Make me love me, from the other side where there’s too much, it goes around where there’s too much, it goes around Someone pinched me from the other side they put a dose of locomotion on my insides It’s not contingent on the things I see cause the Kingdom of God comes out through me So give me purpose from the other side where there’s too much, it goes around where there’s too much, it goes around And forgiveness from the other side where there’s too much, it goes around where there’s too much, it goes around Read my destiny from the stories end the tell me bout this rut you say your stuck in there’s a wormhole to the everlasting share the Spirit of God become One-with-the-King Holy flesh from the other side where there’s too much, it goes around where there’s too much, it goes around Give me pure blood from the other side where there’s too much, it goes around where there’s too much, it goes around Pull me deeper to the other side where there’s too much, it goes around I know where there’s too much, it goes around Give me Yourself from the otherwise It’s too much! -nah where there’s too much, it goes around where there’s too much it’ll go around
9.
Track 9 07:11
all the good parts are pretty much just the poem “The Man Watching”by Rainer Maria Rilke. It’s good, read it
10.
Final Track 02:59
Keyhole eyes and a barren door It’s interesting how you get along yeah it’s interesting how you get along when you feel like you’re not getting at all “Self-Esteem” shouts the mocking geese got off the path of the sunset streets now it’s interesting to see the streets when the light strikes looking from the other side And I don’t care how I burn to get there In fact I’m happy for it all You swung my door in the nick of time when my heart was dying inside my mind it’s interesting how the two will merge it’s like you planned it all with great concern Freedom is a simple pasture not mastered by conflicting desires It’s interesting who you will become And you don’t need to fight yourself to get what you think you want never never again I don’t care how I burn to get here/there Burning is part of it all
